How to play

How Connect Word Works

How to solve any level in this block.

1

Find the full-ring word first

One answer usually uses every letter. Placing it confirms the set and anchors the grid.

2

Then sweep the short words

Most of a Connect Word board is three and four letter words. They are where the level is actually won.

3

Re-use the stems

Once a stem is down, try it with S, ED, ER and ING. A large share of remaining answers are words you already found wearing an ending.

Connect Word Tips & Strategy

Advice that applies across the whole 301–400 block.

1

Work the block in order

These 100 puzzles run 301–400. Solving in order means every page links straight to the next — no menu, no scrolling.

2

Count the short answers first

Every level page shows how many answers run to three letters or fewer. On a board where that number is high, sweep the short words before hunting long ones.

3

The ring is the whole vocabulary

Any candidate using a letter outside the ring is wrong before you check the board. That single rule discards most guesses instantly.

4

A repeated letter can be used twice

If the ring shows the same letter twice, one answer may use it twice. Players routinely reject the correct word on this assumption alone.

5

Work outward from rare letters

A J, Q, X, V or Z appears in very few words. Building from it narrows the search far faster than starting with a vowel.

6

Plurals count separately

CAT and CATS are two answers, not one. On long boards the plurals alone can be a dozen of the missing entries.

About this block

Blocks of one hundred exist so you never scroll a list of thousands. Each card above carries a detail taken from that puzzle — the letter set, the picture name, the author — so the right one is usually recognisable without opening several.

Every puzzle in this block links onward to its neighbours, so once you are inside you can keep moving without coming back here.
