Word Alot Answers Explained

Word Alot gives you a single illustration and asks you to name the things in it. There is no tile rack and no letter set — the puzzle is entirely in what you notice. This archive holds 1,904 levels and 17,431 answers, each level listed with every word its picture hides and the letter count beside it.

The answers people miss are almost never the obvious ones. The lamp, the dog and the table go in straight away; what stalls a level is the small object at the edge of the frame, or the thing named more precisely than you expected. That is why each level page here leads with the number of answers and the longest one — knowing a ten-letter word is still outstanding tells you to look for something specific rather than scanning the picture again.

Levels are grouped into blocks of one hundred, so you can go straight to the range you are playing. Every level page links to the levels either side of it, and the answers are listed in the order the game accepts them rather than alphabetically, so the page reads the way the level plays.

How to play

How Word Alot Works

The three moves that solve most puzzles in this game.

1

Name the whole scene first

The longest answer is often the picture itself — a beach, a kitchen, a market — rather than an object inside it. That one word usually unlocks the rest.

2

Work the edges

Foreground objects come easily. The answers that stall a level sit at the border of the frame or behind something else.

3

Match the length

Every answer here shows its letter count. With a slot open, comparing lengths is far faster than looking at the picture one more time.

Word Alot Tips & Strategy

Six things that make the difference between stuck and solved.

1

Be more specific than you think

If a slot is longer than the obvious word, the game usually wants the precise name — the breed, the type, the material — not the general category.

2

Say the picture out loud

Describing the scene in a sentence surfaces words that scanning does not. Most missed answers are things you can see perfectly well but have not named.

3

Check the background

Clouds, windows, signs and floor tiles are all answers in this game. If the foreground is exhausted, the remaining words are almost always behind it.

4

Use the letter count as a filter

The counts on every level page narrow a slot faster than any amount of staring. A four-letter gap rules out most of what you were considering.

5

Plurals matter

Two of something is often the plural rather than the singular, and that one letter is the difference between a word being accepted and rejected.

6

Stuck means look smaller

When one answer remains it is nearly always a small object rather than an obscure word. Zoom in rather than reaching for a thesaurus.

Word Alot FAQ

The questions players ask about this game, answered directly.

1How many Word Alot levels are covered?+
All 1,904, holding 17,431 answers between them. The archive runs from level 1 with no gaps, so whichever level you are on has a page.
2Are the answers in the order the game wants?+
Yes. They are listed in play order rather than alphabetically, so the page matches the sequence the level accepts them in.
3Why does my word get rejected when it fits the picture?+
Usually specificity or number — the game wants a more precise name, or the plural. Compare your word against the letter count on the level page before assuming it is wrong.
4How do I jump to one level?+
Open the block of one hundred containing your number, or search the game name with the level. Each page links to the levels before and after it.
5Do the levels have to be played in order?+
In the game, largely yes. In this archive, no — every level is directly reachable and none of them depend on another.
6Are these answers verified?+
Every level was imported from a structured source record and checked on build, with the numbering confirmed complete. Twenty-eight levels that were previously blank were refetched and parsed with a reader validated against levels already held. See the method page for what is checked.

How this Word Alot archive is put together

Every Word Alot puzzle on this site is imported from a structured source record rather than transcribed from a screenshot or copied from another answers page. On import each record is validated before it is allowed through: a puzzle missing its core data is left out of the archive instead of being published incomplete. That is why the count reads 1,904 rather than a rounder marketing number.

The archive is maintained by the Solved Archive editorial team, who play these games and use these pages themselves. Because Word Alot has a fixed catalogue that does not change once complete, this archive is finished rather than growing — all 1,904 levels are present. If you spot anything wrong, tell us via the contact page with the puzzle number and we can trace it straight back to its source record. Our full process is written up on the method page.
